You don't have an account ------------------------- Your school uses an app called Squono to organise school sport. You don't log in to it and you don't need a phone for it. Your parents or carers, and your teachers, use it. What it knows about you ----------------------- - Your name, year group, form and house – from the school's own records. - Which teams you're in, and the fixtures you're picked for. - Whether you can play, when your parent or carer tells the app. - Whether your parent or carer said yes or no on a consent slip for an away fixture or trip. - Whether you turned up (the register), results, and awards like player of the match. - Photos from matches, but only if the school's records say you can be photographed. It does not store your date of birth. Your medical details normally stay in the school's own records, not in the app. Who can see it -------------- - Your teachers and coaches can see what they need to run your team. - Your parents or carers can see things about you and your teams – not about other people's children. - Other parents might see results with your first name and the first letter of your surname, depending on the school's settings. - Nobody outside school sees your name with results: public results never name pupils. Photos ------ - Staff can only share photos of you if the school has permission. - If you're marked "do not photograph", staff see a warning before sharing photos. - Information about where a photo was taken is removed before it's uploaded. - The app never uses face recognition. What the app never does ----------------------- - No adverts. - It doesn't sell information about you or use it to train AI. - Nobody can send you messages through it – you don't have an account. How long it's kept ------------------ Most things are deleted automatically after a while. For example, consent slip answers are usually deleted after the end of the school year plus a term, and emergency contact numbers from a slip a week after the trip. When you leave the school, your details are removed at the start of the next school year. Questions or worries? --------------------- - Ask your PE teacher or the school office if you want to know what's stored about you, or if something is wrong.
